Last week our school in Vancouver hosted an Open House with one of our pathway partners in Canada – LaSalle College. LaSalle College is Canada’s number one college for Game Design and VFX and holds a strong reputation for creative courses including media arts, fashion and graphic design, and audio and film production. The College presented their range of courses and held discussions with over 40 captivated students interested in careers in the creative arts. They spoke about their educational journey and discussed the opportunities for students wanting to study in creative fields. Lucy How, our Pathway Programs Director, informed our students of the options available to Oxford International students and discussed our IELTS and university preparation courses.

Our pathways programs

All pathways students at Oxford International schools in Canada and the US are taught specific skills that all university students should have at their disposal. Throughout their course, students practice note-taking, summarising lectures, research and presentations techniques and develop familiarity with the academic environment. Our courses also focus on the basic English skills, vocabulary, writing and speaking capabilities required to succeed in their future education.
Our schools also provide students with a dedicated Pathways Coordinator to help guide them through the process of determining their education path and selecting a university or college that is right for them.
