UK English Schools to reopen for in-person teaching
With the recent release of the UK government’s roadmap out of lockdown, there has been a renewed optimism across the country. The roadmap announced that all schools, colleges and universities can reopen from Monday 8th March!
In light of this news, we are delighted to announce the phased reopening of our UK English Language schools starting with our London Greenwich school on Monday 8th March. Our London school will be welcoming back students who remained in the UK and new students from next week.
We plan to reopen our Brighton school on Monday 17th May and our Oxford school on Monday 7th June, just in time for a busy summer. All booked and travelling students planning on attending our Brighton and Oxford schools are invited to join our London Greenwich school, at no extra cost, until their school reopens.
Safety measures will remain in place across our London school as we continue to follow government guidelines for keeping all students and staff safe. View our safety measures here.
Travel to the UK guidelines
On Monday 12th April, the UK government will announce the new rules for international travel both to and from the UK. These new rules will come into effect from Monday, 17th May. Students entering the UK before 17th May must:
- NOT travel from or through a red list country (unless you have a British or Irish passport)
- book and pay for two COVID tests in advance
- complete a passenger locator form including the address where you will quarantine and reference numbers for the two tests you will take in the UK
- bring proof of a negative test taken no more than 72 hours before arrival
- quarantine for 10 days on arrival
In order to leave quarantine on day 10, everyone needs to take the pre-booked tests on day 2 and day 8 and return negative results for both. If anyone tests positive on either test they must quarantine for a further 10 days from the date of that test.
We are excited to welcome you back to our UK schools for a fantastic year of learning in 2021. Enquire now to join us in school.
